What About Black For A Beach Wedding?

So, what do you think about black for a beach wedding?  Sunshine and bright blue crystal waters are what come to mind when thinking – beach!  Hot pink, coral, and cool, lagoon green typically signify a beach theme and definitely set the feel for a tropical climate.
However, I can think of some good reasons to include black when planning a beach wedding.

First of all, it’s unique! If you are a couple who does not follow the crowd, you might consider black for apparel, decorations and invitations.

Secondly, an evening wedding at the beach or during the summer may call for black, especially if you are looking for a more formal theme.

And my third reason would be that black goes with just about any other color and can even highlight them. It’s easy to combine other colors with black and there is no worry about matching it with something.

Maybe your guy isn’t into the flowery thing and wants to have some say in decorating. (Hey, there are guys who will do that!) Can’t you picture elegant black bud vases on the reception tables, each holding a bright tropical flower or a stem of white gardenias?

Black looks very nice with aqua blue, gold and hot pink, or keep it simple and stick with black and white for the apparel which will not detract from the bouquets you’ll carry.

The point is, that black can be used for a beach themed wedding. After all, it’s your day. Do anything you darn well please.  **Check out the photos on the Ruffled site of a very unique and beautiful Cape Cod beach wedding.
