Teal is a Popular Color Choice

Our popular stationery colors for 2011 are partially what you would expect to be popular for beach or tropical weddings, such as the blues associated with water and being at the ocean, and also some colors you might not expect.

The color teal has been a popular color choice over the past year and continues to sell frequently even though new colors have been added to the Sandpiper Wedding store. Shades of blue or blue-green seem to be what everyone wants for their beach themed or summertime wedding, whether its for invitations, stickers or thank you cards.

Popular blues are aqua, navy and the new “lagoon” blue, which is more green than blue. Aqua has been added to the starfish colors section and goes nicely with the white starfish design. Navy blue is an all-time favorite for many and the new “lagoon blue” has been selling very well although it is really a sea green color. It depicts the water color you would find in a shallow lagoon where the water can be bright and clear to dark and murky.

Purple is also quite popular and the purple colors can be dark, like vintage wine or light lavender and any color in between. We’ve been selling purple ties too, and all items can easily be given the same background color to make a matching set.
