Let’s Talk Wedding Envelopes, Plain and Fancy
Posted by Dustytoes
As brides are choosing their wedding invitations and reply cards, most likely envelopes are the last thing she is thinking about, but eventually it dawns on her – I have to mail these somehow! Some couples choose to have specialty printing for each individual guest address and that can be expensive. Also asking a calligrapher to to it will cost a pretty penny. ($2 – $10 per envelope says “The Knot” website.)
At Sandpiper Wedding the envelopes are included in the price of the invitations and reply cards. These envelopes are simply white. You never have to spend more to purchase envelopes. However, we do offer a choice of doing so. The specialty envelopes can be purchased as extras and a return address can be added to the invitation size, such as the ivory colored envelope above. The address can be added to the back flap or the front upper, left as you prefer, and paper types include linen, felt, speckled, recycled or basic with color choices. (Not every paper type allows for changing the color.)
If you choose to add specialty envelopes through our store, they can be pre-addressed with a return address and / or include a return-to address on the reply card envelope. The envelopes can be decorated to match the invitation theme or they can be plain. The options are endless, as far as images go and many font colors and styles can be chosen. In fact, one of the most popular envelopes we sell are the plain, ivory ones. I had a customer request them, because as far as color offerings go, there is not ivory for the customer to create, so we added an ivory set to our line. It seems that it’s a popular choice. Contact us to create something uniquely yours and don’t wait until the last minute as the specialty envelopes will take up to 2 weeks to be mailed out.
