The seahorse is one of the oceans most magnificent creatures. It’s tiny size makes it cute, and it’s unusual features set it apart from all other sea life.

The bony little seahorse has a horse shaped head, but other than that, it does not resemble a horse. In fact it’s tail is more like a monkey’s tail in that it is used to wrap around sea grass when stopped to keep from floating away.

Sea horses also use their tails to “hold hands” as they swim in pairs in the shallow sea water. Isn’t that cute? They also mate for life – which makes them the most appropriate of wedding couple symbols.
